Variety Kids on the Go! helps children gain mobility, confidence, freedom and independence. Our goal is to help children with disabilities overcome their mobility challenges, helping them reach their potential to live full, active lives. The program provides funding for wheelchairs, specially-designed adaptive bikes, and other devices, so children have the chance to be active participants at home, school, and at play!

Qualifications:

• Child is 19 years old or younger.

• Child resides in East Tennessee. 

• Child is from a low or limited income family.

• Child is living with a disability whose life can be enhanced by the equipment requested.

Funding Details:

• Applications can be completed and submitted by guardian of child in need.

• 2026 Applications and supporting documents are due to Variety quarterly on the following dates: January 30th, April 17th, July 17th and, October 16th.

• Applications are reviewed quarterly and subject to Variety Board approval.

• Variety Board may request additional information from applicant.

• Once funding is approved, Variety will notify the family and issue a check to the manufacturer of the item.
